Hi does anyone knows if Undercover works in the new Leopard Guest Account? This account wipes everything upon log out!! Or Do I need to use a regular(no admin) account? Thanks!
i love undercover and have it on 2 machines -- but have the same question as the last post about the Guest Account....
really hoping my mac doesn't get stolen between the 20th and the 26th...great upgrade and will install promptly upon release. when is iPhone Undercover gonna be dropped on us? (that product will be much more useful as I take my phone a lot more places than my mac, and, its easier to loose, drop, leave behind...)

Please do not postpone your purchase, if you buy Undercover 2.5 today, you will be protected. You will be able to upgrade free on the 27th when 3.0 comes out.

However, we do recommend to create a dummy account (no password, no admin privileges).

There is indeed no reason to postpone your Undercover purchase. The 3.0 upgrade will be free for all registered users!
The reason I'm afraid to purchase 2.5 today is because for future upgrades you may only be able to upgrade for free if you purchased the software after ver. 3.

The major difference is that with the Leopard guest account, no account information is saved. This might prove to be a disadvantage, as it's sometimes interesting to see the files the thief has created and this information might be used in court.
I'd recommend to manually create a dummy account with no password and no admin privileges.

Just registered and installed 3.0 but although uc is running, LIttle Snitch does not show any evidence that the servers are being contacted and I have created no rule to allow it nor has permission been requested.
I am new to UC..what do I do??
Yeah, I'm having the same problem with little snitch!
I'd recommend to trigger Undercover to contact our server by disconnecting / reconnecting to the internet (either unplug your cable or turn off Airport for a couple of seconds).
When your Mac comes online again, this will trigger Undercover and it will contact our server to check whether your Mac has been stolen. That should in turn trigger Little Snitch. You can then always allow uc traffic.
